Hello! I am currently a software engineer at Arcadia Science, where I build tools to support and accelerate biological research. I also help to ensure that Arcadia's computational artifacts are reliable and reusable.
Before that, I was a software engineer at the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub in San Francisco, where I built data management and visualization tools for systems cell biology. More about some of these projects here.
And before that, I completed a PhD in Biophysics at UC Berkeley, where I studied chromosome organization using computer vision and super-resolution microscopy.
In my spare time, I am a cyclist, runner, and amateur botanist of the conifers of North America. My favorite conifers are the old-growth foxtail pines of the southern Sierra Nevada, one of which is shown in the center of the picture below.
